About FormKit

What FormKit is

FormKit is a small set of free tools for one job: getting your photo, signature and documents accepted by online application forms the first time. It started from a common problem. Students and job seekers fill a long form and then get stuck at the upload step because a photo is 52 KB instead of 50, or the signature is the wrong shape, often late at night before the last date.

FormKit is published by Digital India Support. It is an independent project and is not connected to the Government of India, any ministry, recruitment board, bank or exam conducting body.

How the tools work

Everything runs in your browser. When you choose a photo, your own device crops, resizes and compresses it. The file is never uploaded to our server, which also means there is nothing for us to store, lose or share. You can check this yourself: load a tool page, switch off your internet, and it still works.

Where the exam sizes come from

We read the official notifications and application portals of each exam and note down the upload rules: pixel size, file size, format and any special requirement, like UPSC's name and date on the photo. The same data is used by the FormKit Android app. Rules change from time to time, which is why every exam page asks you to confirm with the current notification, and links to the official website.

How the site is funded

The tools are free and need no login. The site shows ads to cover its costs. Ads never block a tool, and we do not sell any personal data. You can read more in our privacy policy.
